We are the producer of wide range of steel forgings, pressings and centrings located in 2 production facilities, in Kladno and in Brno.
Our specialization is production of closed die forgings made of all types of steel with high precision and with various geometry, in small as well as large series.
PBK ZK s.r.o. in Kladno is specialized in production of closed die forgings from 5 kg up to 160 kg made of all types of steel with high precision and with various geometry, in small as well as large series.
PBK BM s.r.o. is completing portfolio of steel closed die forgings with range of weights from 0,4 kg up to 5 kg.
PBK BM s.r.o. in Brno is specialized in production of open die forgings from 5 kg up to 300 kg and centrings, pressings and bends cold and hot processed.
Our products can be found at aircraft industry and mining industry, at producers of industrial valves, rail vehicles, trucks and utility vehicles. We are delivering forgings for producers of gearboxes, couplings and other products for engineering.

History and present
Company První brněnská kovárna s.r.o. was established in year 1996. This company continued manufacturing and personnel tradition of cancelled forging shop of První brněnská strojírna a.s. and continued with production of forgings with tradition from the beginning of last century.
Then, in year 1997, after transmigration and installation of machinery, production was started at registered office at address Železná 10 in Brno. It launched dynamic company development, increasing of capacity after installation of another machinery together with increasing of production and productivity.
Then appeared restriction of next development – limit of existing machinery was 7 kg for closed die forgings and 300 kg for open die forgings. Therefore in year 2000 there was another company expansion caused by taking up of technology and production of forging company ČKD Dopravní systémy in Prague – Libeň, Českomoravská street where production continued for next 2 years.
Then in year 2002 machinery was moved to Kladno, where První brněnská kovárna s.r.o. bought former forging shop ZK1 Poldi Kladno.
After another development in year 2007 there was a segmentation into 2 separate companies. That is why present production of forgings is located in PBK ZK s.r.o. in Kladno (area Poldi) and in PBK BM s.r.o. in Brno.

Installation of new sand blasting machine OPTIMA
In November 2021, we installed a new sand blasting machine OPTIMA, which complements the workplace with 2 existing blast barrels. The result will be an increase in the productivity and surface quality of forgings above 100 kg.
Overhaul of counter-rotating hammer BECHE 20
In September 2021, we started an overhaul of our largest counter-rotating hammer BECHE 20, thanks to which there will be a significant increase in the productivity of the production of closed die forgings from 20 kg up to 160 kg.

We are specialized in following products:
Steel closed die forgings from 0,4 kg up to 160 kg
Steel open die forgings from 5 kg up to 300 kg
Centrings cold or hot processed
Pressings and different bends cold or hot processed
According to customer requirements we can perform following tests at forgings: mechanical tests, dimensional inspection or hardness inspection, as well as surface inspection for which we are using Magnetic defectoscopy (INKAR) performed at fully equipped magnetizing table.
Workshop in Brno, PBK BM s.r.o.
According to customer requirements we can perform following tests at forgings: mechanical tests, ultrasonic test, test for surface defects detection – magnetic defectoscopy or penetrant test, metallographic tests, etc.
Both of our companies are performing tests in accredited laboratories. According to requirements we can perform the tests with the supervision of inspectional and certification companies.
